Hello everyone, thanks (sincerely) for your great responses to my 'a US citizen, but without a Country' situation.
I thought of an interesting question: What if I got married in Italy to either an Italian or someone from another EU Country -but if after my Visa expires? Does that also somehow qualify me for permanent residency (after-the-fact)?
*What about other EU Countries?*
A couple of you kindly advised me to consult an Immigration Attorney, but since our local Foreigner Supervisor here never told me until it was much too late that I had a work-permit -only because of that I'm still not working yet -so no income yet for such professional support.
In the distant past I read some pretty good advice from regular people like us on similar subjects and so I hope to hear more.
Thanks everyone!
