Am I Crazy?

I know that's a radical way to start a topic but... I have always dreamed of living in Italy since my first visit when I was 13. I am in my late 50's now and have decided that it is now or never. I speak a little Italian (going to classes) and was raised in an Italian household. I will have dual citizenship. I have friends in Rome, where I plan to live. My biggest concern is finding a job. I plan to get a CELTA certificate to teach English, which I would like to do until my Italian improves. I am a writer/environmental specialist in water by trade. I make a very decent salary now and have been putting $$ into an IRA. This would stop when I take the plunge. I have some money (about 6 months living expenses) but I know that the economy is just as bad over there as in the U.S. and every expat website that I click on seems to have a plethora of people teaching English. As a friend told me recently, there is no perfect time to do something but there is a right time...to the folks that are living there does la dolce vita override the anxiety of worrying about the future?
