Realtor's fees

Wow, it seems like I am really going to buy an apartment in Siracusa.

As of today, I have two apartments I am checking out. One of the realtors quoted his fee as 2500 euro (a flat fee since my apartment is below a certain minimum).

Sounds reasonable, but I seem to remember that at the present the sellers in sourthern Italy are generall paying the whole fee.

Did I dream that?

(The agent is actually very good, and don't begrudge him earning something, of course.)
