wife insecure about move

Since i met my wife 21 years ago, she and I have planned to move to Calabria. She is 58 and takes thyroid medication.
She is insecure about how to get medication as a resident. Also if we rent, she worries about legnth of stay issues as neither of us will be citizens.
any help would be greatly appreciated
