buying loft c3

Hello , I have seen a loft for sale in Milan category C3. I would like to use it myself for a few weeks a year and rent it out for the rest . I understand that because it is a category C3 or artist's studio you cannot take up full residence there. Does anyone know if I can use it for short leases? It comes equipped with a kitchen area and bathroom. Also are there tax implications I should know about? The real estate agency has assured me I could rent it to students for short periods. Thanks in advance.
