Lake Como to live?

I plan to spend a month in Menaggio on Lake Como mid Oct to mid Nov. to see if it's a place I'd like to live, Anyone in that area interested in meeting over coffee to chat about expat life there? I'd appreciate any info also on a local gym, language classes, general resources for expats connecting. I lived as an expat in the south of France and even tho I was then married to a Frenchman found life very challenging there.. and want to be better prepared this time ! thanks, Judith
