Cons of living in Italy

Of course I am in love with Italy. I just returned from a house hunting tour in Puglia. I would appreciate though a list (hopefully short) of the CONS of living in Italy from you living there already. Just to keep my head screwed on straight.
I live in the New York area, and yes I have lived in Europe before. (10 years in Scandinavia)
