Using a U.S. Phone # While In Italy - Revisited

Countdown! Leaving for Italy on the 23rd and exploring options for having U.S. phone # via Skype or other platform.

It's been awhile since I posted my original question, and wondering what you're using? I was planning on getting a Skype #, but it looks like I'd have to use a generic voice message rather than creating a personalized one.

I don't know what the situation is in the apartment I'll be renting, so a little ambivalent about buying something I need to plug in to a modem.
