Hello. Lots of good input on Italian Taxes.
I have a question regarding "non income".
Wife and I are US Citizins but will be moving to Italy via an Elective Residency Visa.
We are using a US savings account to pay our expenses, and have another bucket of $ that is invested in stocks and owned by our trust in the US.. In 3-5 years we will replenish our savings from the trust.
I am thinking the only annual Italian tax we owe would be wealth tax on the savings account balance each year and possibly ?income tax when we move trust $ over to savings.
We do not receive any SS or pensions so no income. The stocks do make dividends but is owned by the trust.
Thoughts on this logic?
