Update from Trieste

Hi all! I am now in Trieste! I arrived a little over two weeks ago. All the angst over customs, and bringing my supplements, was for naught. Hardly knew they were there! I did have to pay an extra 36+ Euro to customs for the bag I had shipped - so turned out to be about $200 for door to door pick up and delivery through Send My Bag. Next time (if there is one!) I will likely schlep it myself, but good to know there is an easy to use service available, if needed.

Life is unfolding nicely. I love it here and have already made some nice connections and have done so much in the two+ weeks that I've been here: went to a book club, joined a photography group, found two places to dance, went to a great jazz club, met up with friends - old and new - and have taken several beautiful walks along the sea, and more. I feel right at home!

Thanks again for your help and support during my transitional process! I am a happy camper!
