TV - Satellite vs Antenna

Hello - When we bought our little house in Puglia it came with a Tele System digital satellite receiver and TV... it was set to receive German channels (dish located on the roof)... we are not TV watchers or German speakers - but we have guests use our house on occasion (we also have wifi). I want to keep things simple and low cost, but need a little education about what the satellite can offer vs getting an antenna (I tired to have this discussion with a local electrical shop that sells antennas but my Italian is just not strong enough to have "this vs that" discussions. The goal is to keep it simple... Option one is to keep it "as is" with german stations and the 2 English channels of BBC/ CNN. Option B would be to make modifications so that the Satalite would receive Italian channels (is this possible?? I have never owned a dish - in a perfect world, I would get Italian channels to help improve my Italian and BBC). The third option would be to ditch the dish and get an antenna (but I would guess the antenna would only get Italian channels - right??). Happy to be educated on this ... and any other options I am overlooking. I realize I need to go back to the shop with a better idea of what would work best so they can assist as needed. You are welcome to PM me or share guidance on the forum. Thanks
