Relocating to Puglia Region

My name is Dieter, I am an EU Passport Holder living in the US for 25+ years on a Green Card.
I am fully retired and I amjust now starting to look into a possible retirement in Italy.(EU Member)
My main pension and German Social Security are paid into my German bank account on a monthly basis.
Question:
1. do I have to obtain an Italian immigrant visa or am I accepted as EU-Member without paperwork?
2. do I have to pay taxes on my EU-Pension in Italy?
3. I have a small soc and pensiion in USA. How will this be regarded by Italian taxation authorities?
Any information is greatly appreciated and helps - I am in no hurry.
I will check with Italian and German representations here in USA as well.
Thank you for any considerations.
