My husband is going to be working in Fiesole for most of a year. I like being able to walk around cities and don't want to deal with parking, but his colleagues advised him to live in Fiesole rather than Florence. They claim Florence has been overrun with crowds of tourists. I haven't been there in many years. It always has had a lot of tourists. Has it gotten that much worse in the last 25 years? I'd love to have easy access to the treasures of the city. I know I can take a bus in, but it isn't the same as having everything at your doorstep. Does anyone have thoughts on this? Thanks.
