We DID IT! Italian Citizenship

Well, we did it! My husband and children (and their future children) are all now Italian Citizens! Appointments are being made by our attorney for passports and they will file the AIRE forms for them...I, however, and the children's S.O.s have to learn Italian to the A2 level to obtain my citizenship. Until then I am on a 'green card' type standing for 5 years and if I don't pass the test can be renewed in 5 year increments..
This endeavor took 5 years and almost $10k but we look at it as an investment in our retirement plans and in our children's futures..
Keep plugging along..it can happen..
