Hi
We're an Italian mom American dad family with 2 kids (medie and liceo) moving to Bolzano (or possibly Brunico) from the US in the late summer.
I'd love to talk to someone about finding apartments, advice on schools, general questions about living in BZ or Brunico.
I'm a native Italian speaker and my husband speaks English only so I'd love it if there were a few expats we could meet (safe social distancing and all that).
I've lived outside Italy for decades (UK, Asia, US) though we spend a few months there every year for summer, so I'm not up to date on the logistics of living there!
One issue is the visa for my US citizen husband - the consulate says I can go to the Questura within 8 days armed with marriage certificate and he gets a permesso di soggiorno/residenza (don't remember which). But.. is it really that easy, specifically, in Alto Adige.. I know Questuras can be quirky..
Feel free to PM me.
Many thanks!!
Silvia
