Hi,
we are Diann and Jean-PIerre.. We ave set our minds to retiring in a few years and then moving to Italy. My wife is American and i am from Belgium with permanent residency here.
I am sure we will be asking a ton of questions,even after reading all relevant contributions we are finding and reading here.
And although our permanent move is not for another 3 plus years, our intentions are to buy a "habitable" house sooner than later so we are already looking out for an area that meets our ideas... warm, beach and rustic living, however quality internet is essential. As we are "nerds" we intend to dive into this and be well prepared so we already bought a few serious maps, books. etc.
