Advice on home based food business.

Hello!

I will be moving with my family to Italy later this year, I am British and my husband is Italian.
I am writing to ask if anyone knows about the legalities of selling food which has been produced in a home kitchen, in Italy.
Here in the UK, once you have registered with your local council and have your kitchen inspected, pass all relevant food safety courses and achieve your HACCP certification, you are allowed to produce food and sell to the open market (provided that the product has been tested for shelf life and labelled correctly).

Does anyone have experience in doing something similar in Italy? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
