COVID VACCINATIONS

My husband and I live near Bolzano. We are senior citizen; one with diabetes and osteoarthritis. Our doctor says we are eligible to be vaccinated but will have to wait at least for another year. Does anyone know if the US Embassy is involved with assisting US citizens living in Italy with COVID vaccinations?

Any info is greatly appreciated.
