ER Visa Application

I have a question. I understand that both my husband and I have to submit our own applications. The problem is that we only have one copy of our marriage certificate and have not been able to obtain another one and we only have one original copy of our rental agreement. I was able to get his appointment on the Frankfurt consulate website, but not my own. It kept telling me I couldn't have multiple appointments. Should I wait until he has received his visa or is there another option?
