Finding an apartment

What is the best way to find an apartment in Bologna? We aren't sure we want to commit to a 4 + 4 lease, so what are our options in housing? We need a place that can be used for my husband to register as a resident (he is a dual citizen) and not just a temporary housing situation (i.e. vacation rental). Thanks for any tips.
