Utilities (water, gas, elec) in Calabria

We just rented a flat in the province of Cosenza. We're still here in the U.S.
Our new landlords will arrange to call and activate all the utilities - gas, water, electricity, garbage pick-up, etc. with the appropriate agencies.
However, they do not live in the town where the flat is located and we were hoping someone might be able to tell us how long it generally takes from call to actual activation. Thanks so much.
