Taxes from a Canadian perspective

We are interested in moving to Italy mid next year (2023) - my wife will be retired but I plan to work for approx. 2 years. My work have already given their stamp of approval on the plan - I support international clients and can technically work anywhere.

Just wondering if any Canadians have done the same move and willing to offer up their experience and advice.
