Want to buy a car in Italy but not a Resident?

Renting a car long term when you first arrive for your new life in Italy, or even if you are just on a three-month jaunt, can get very expensive. Buying a used car can't be done if you don't have the right residency status... I might have a solution. I'm selling my Treasured, beautiful Pepper White 2006 Mini Cooper S. Private sale. It's garaged in Terni, central Italy at the moment. My friend Eleonora has the keys. The steering wheel is set for UK/Australia. It is legal to drive in Italy, was fully registered and roadworthy etc. Maintained impeccably, serviced exclusively by BMW, some scratches on external paintwork. About 130,000 km. Tyres bought new one year before covid. I got stuck visiting my Mum in Australia, no one was allowed to leave. So I missed my scheduled Permesso renewal meeting and I lost my residency. And my cat and all my electricals- and most of my friends... I'm hoping to sell the car to someone who can appreciate her. She is very special to me. Drives like the wind. Hasn't been driven in two years, battery disconnected. You could buy it, if a UK resident/citizen, and intend to register it when you got back to the UK. Or do so online from Italy. Great fun on long road trips, excellent sound and steering, great traction. 6speed manual transmission. Fast and light on the road. Asking €7000
