My husband and I have recently moved (retired) to Polignano a Mare, Italy and are awaiting our interview with the police in May in order to receive our Residence cards. We have just been advised by our immigration attorney that we need to have our medical insurance (that was previously purchased while still in the US) translated into Italian in order to fulfill the requirements to receive our Residency card. This is going to cost us, at the very minimum, 1000 euros to have this done--a separate translation for each of our separate policies! Has this occurred with anyone else out there? Please help!!
