Lucca Comune

Hello,
Has anyone gone through the Lucca comune to establish citizenship by descent? If so can you please share your experience. Were you able to navigate on your own or did you use the help of translators for appointments and filling out paper work and if you did could provide some recommendations? I am trying to figure out how to connect with the comune to see if they are accepting these applications and if so how to arrange long term rental. Thank you so much.
