I recently got married to a Jamaican in Kingston and want to live with him there. I am unsure of the immigration processes and how I go about it from the UK side. What do the authorities need to see from me and how much of your finances and other items do you really need show the immigration authorities?
We also want to move my belongings (furniture etc) and again I am unsure how to go about this. I have contacts in shipping
companies in the UK but wondered if this method of container shipping would be expensive compared to using a world wide removal company?
We are looking to rent or buy a property, maybe a fixer upper with a second unit on site for extra income and have looked at the Avondale area of Kingston. It looks really nice to me but does anyone know of any other areas in Kingston that will be safe that we could be looking at?
I am hoping to be able to find an administration job, preferably in logistics, so any ideas of companies in Kingston that I can contact once I am out there, or before to send my C.V to them to get a feel on how the job market is out there for a white, 50 something female?
We are hoping for the move to take place within the next 4-5 months and so much to think about, so would appreciate any guidance you can give me.
