Move to Ocho Rios

Good morning,
I got a job offer in Ocho Rios and I will move probably by the end of November. I am moving with my husband but he still don't find a job. He has a great experience of more than 20 years in construction. what can be opportunities in construction in Ocho Rios? I am looking an accommodation, 1 bedroom apart, between $ 700-800 USD, can I have suggestions?
what about driving over there? what are the requirements? it is easy to have a second hand car?
