Dengue Fever

Hi, I visit for a month every year with my husband we have property in Clarendon and my question is there a immunization for Dengue fever? There is none in Canada and I was told you have to had Dengue before you can be immunized, which to me doesn't make sense?
Any info would help as I am a mosquito magnet even deep woods don't keep them from me.
Also any idea on costs for non residents?
