I'm new to this group and so far I've found it very informative, even entertaining at times...:)
I'm a 56 yr old single female, no kids, born in Jamaica/raised in Canada. I'm planning to relocate back to Jamaica in 2021. The main reason I'm moving back is to be close to my parents who are at the age where they need assistance. I have both Canadian and Jamaican passports, plus JA TRN#.
I've worked in the advertising field in Canada as a department manager for over 20 yrs. I'm a bit anxious about the job prospects in JA and wondering if anyone can provide insight on finding management positions in JA, preferably Ochi or Kingston? I will be living with my parents who are in St. Catherine so accommodation won't be a problem. I'll need to learn to drive in JA as I'm use to driving here in Canada so will definitely be taking driving lessons when I'm there.
I'd love some insight on job prospects. I know it's slim to none at this point with the pandemic we are currently experiencing but hoping to get some insight on companies to contact, where to begin the job search, etc. I'm open to working from home as well.
It would also be great to establish friendships with professional, like minded people.
