Hi I am moving to Amman to work at a school. I am excited yet nervous as I shall be the only expat. I am a UK citizen and have had international experience and really love working internationally. I have worked in both Egypt and Oman. However this is the first time I shall be the only expat in this company. The school normally hires local. One of my closest friend is Jordanian and i know they are wonderful, kind and friendly people. But my Arabic is very basic, and I mean very basic. At the school they teach mostly in Arabic. I know I would integrate and I am excited, but I do worry that I will feel somewhat challenged in a few ways. I can adapt. Though new country etc I would really appreciate feedback. The location is Amman it does seem to be a good school. I would rather private message chat, if possible with any kind Jordanian or expat. Thank you in advance. Looking forward to my adventure :)
