House or apartment near to the UN compound in Nairobi

Hi All,

I'm about to move to Nairobi with my girlfriend for a year. She's working with the UN while I'll be working from home. I've heard that the traffic in Nairobi can be bad so it's best if we find somewhere to live near to where my girlfriend will be working. So I guess that means Gigiri?

Can anyone let me know roughly how much we can expect to pay for a nice place to live for a year there? Or if there are any other good areas to live nearby? I'm going to need a good broadband internet connection, and it would be nice if there was some outside space. Also, if anyone's got any other tips or things we may not have thought about, then it would be nice to hear from you.
