Considering South Korea Post High School

School is nearing it's end and in place of going directly to college, do not pass go, do not collect 200 dollars, I've decided to go abroad for a couple of years or more. I figure that while I'm there I can have the experience of not having things handed to me. I would really have to work (in the classical sense). I would have an immigrant-ish experience. It's all very exciting and I'm looking forward to it. Right now I am a Junior in High School, so there is plenty of time, but lot's of people are college planning right now, so I figure I should be planning too.

How easy would it be for somebody like me to find employment? I would want a job like being a janitor or a waitress or something since I wouldn't have any college education yet.

By the time that I would move there, I would have 6 years (5 years of credit) of accelerated French class under my belt, but only a (very) little to no Korean (though I am a student of Tae Kwon Do under a master native to Korea). I would save enough money for, or have my parents pay for language training when I get there which makes a job where I wouldn't have to do much speaking in Korean at first a good thing.

The bottom line is, it would be really helpful to learn what my experience might be like in South Korea. I know that I would need an apartment, a job to pay for this apartment and some friends would also be a nice thing to have too.
