Life In kuwait

For those interested in learning about kuwait, I can best describe it as one of the craziest countries I have ever been to. It's like being in the twilight zone. Imagine... a country with a population of 2.7 milliion people with only 916,000 of them being actual Kuwaitis. The rest are all expats from third world countries India, Pakistan, Phillipines, Nepal, Bangladash,Iran.etc. who do all the dirty work (cleaning streets, construction, running all the shops and restarurants, etc. Others come from other arab countries like Lebanon and Egupt. The kuwaitis kicked out 450,000 Palestininans after the first Gulf Wa. They pretty much built Kuwait and ran all the businesses that the Indians and Phillipinos now run. You will see the craziest drivers in the world. Everyday you will see new cars turned upside down and totalled and you wonder how in the heck did that happen. I can tell you stories that you would have to see to believe regarding the driving. The bottom line is... there are two types of drivers in Kuwait ... the ones that have had an accident and the ones that will get into accidents. (BE CAREFUL). Kuwati police don't do anything. They are pretty good at earning the $60,000 salary they get parked on the highways watching the cars flying at 100-120 mph. Kuwaitis are the most arrogant self centered people you will meet in the world. I guess its because of all the money they have. They hate everyone including Americans. Kuwaiti men are like robots wearing their white robes and are in their own world. They hang out together at night strolling the streets at 1030 pm and you ask yourself....why aren't these clowns spending time with their wives and children. Most of the ones that are married all have Phillipino mistresses. The Kuwait women shop all day and night and also don't spend time with their kids. They all have Phillipino or Indian maids to raise their kids. Pick up a Kuwaiti Times newspaper and you will find an article every other day aboutr a Phillipino maid being raped by the Kuwait male in the home and Philipino maids killing themselves because of being abused by the people that hired them. The kids see the maids as their mother. The kids are spoiled rotten and grow up with no ambition because everything has been done for them or given to them.

I could go on and on. Living in kuwait for 6 months now and with another 6 months to go on my contract.

Kuwait will be changing soon for the better as it wants to be like Dubai and Bahrain. Kuwait sees all the money these countries are making in Tourism and now Kuwait wants a piece of the action. Within 2 years you will see alchohol legalized, dance clubs, and ... oh yes... prostitution. I guess Kuwait will be doiing what UAE does in Dubai.... promise Russian girls jobs and force them into prostitution. (Big Business in Dubai.... believe it or not... and the government is in on the action)

Good luck to all those who come to Kuwait. You will be entering the Twilight Zone.
