Hiya, my husband is seriously considering taking a job in Kuwait as a retail exec. He is going through the final interview stages (meeting them again in a week in Kuwait) and we want to be ready for any job offer.
The job would probably pay in excess of €120K in UK/Ireland - we are however aware that salaries are much lower in Kuwait. Would €95K (approx 3000 KD / month) sound too high or too low? Should we expect more or less - he would be responsible for the creative & marketing departments for 23 stores in 7 countries, so a lot of pressure and travel involved. More importantly, could we live comfortably and save on this salary over there?
if the company offers benefits such as housing allowance, car, medical, school fees (we have a 4 year old daughter), etc. - should we expect them to be in addition to basic salary mentioned above or would it be reasonable to accept a lower basic salary if the benefits were very generous? Hope I am making sense.
We have looked at the country and we know we would love it there. We just want to make sure the move is worth our while financially speaking.
I really really hope someone can help! Thanks a mil...
