Avoiding Lithuanian bureaucracy

1. Marry an intelligent Lithuanian e.g. teacher
2. BE polite, patient and smile always.
3. Speak positively about being in Lithuania.
4. Show empathy
5.Demonstrate that you want to make a positive contribution by living in Lithuania.
6. Bring skills to the country.
7. Do not offer bribes it has stopped being the custom and can get you arrested by the police.
8. Learn the processes before you arrive.

It took me less then 4 hours to get my permission to stay from the police from applying to going back to get my documents. It took one hour to get my municipality registration. I also had no problems buying my house and getting a bank account and then buying an investment apartment for my business.
I bought a car , the dealer had t registered to me in 2 hours !! Its all been easier and quicker than UK where you can bang your head on the fone being put on hold by a jobsworth.
Cone here as a dumb foreigner thinking lithuania is a poor backward uneducated country and they will treat you accordingly. They have a far higher level of success in education than UK
