Bus system

We arrived in Luxembourg recently and have been using the #1-25 bus routes. We are currently apartment/house hunting and I was wondering about bus access outside Luxembourg Ville. How reliable and accessible are the #1-25 buses in the 'suburbs'? We are looking to be able to access City Centre and Bertrange from the bus depot as all the buses come into the Centre anyway. If we were to live north (to save on housing costs), would the bus be good then? I would appreciate any feedback from those using the bus lines and have first hand experience with it. Thanks
