I'm a newbie who took train through peninsular Malaysia, and now planning to return circa 8 July, for a month. Considering expatriation from US. Lots of questions:

Penang is my first choice. Looking for quiet hostel in Georgetown. Guidebook said look at Lebuh Chulia area. Recommendations?

Best electronic outlets? Want to purchase an Olympus C-8080 digital camera; best price in US is about $750. Can I do better there? Also looking for best value on Nokia 6360 cell phone: price?

Seeking younger Malay bride. Best newspaper in which to place a matrimonial ad? Or personal ad--if no matrimonials there. Want to reach the most prospects. Is this feasible in Penang culture?

Considering renting a motorcycle while there. Best rental places? What are approximate daily or weekly rates?

Are there good value places to purchase cotton clothing and raingear there? Recommendations, please.
