Considering move to Malaysia

Hello,
My husband and I are strongly considering a move to Malaysia. Over the years we've traveling extensively and lived in 13 countries in the ME Africa Europe Latin America and now in the US.
I would like to rent first before making the decision to purchase. We are both retired professional.
We are not familiar with the place but we are looking for a beach place with golf and fun to have the family and grand kid visit.
