General Information about Mexico

I got an email of the following post and could not find it. Janice, who was looking for a site with just information about Mexico, but not selling anything (except books, but I don't hit you over the head about it) is mine. There are more than 100 pages of free information about living and traveling, especially by car. I hope it helps someone. "Mexico" Mike. www.mexicomike.com.

Hi--thanks for this great info. Perhaps you can expand on some. My situation is--single mother of three (7,5,3) wanting to move to Mexico soon. FYI, I have custody of the kids and permission from their dad--it's not an ugly situation! I'll need to work, so I'm considering a TESL certificate. Here, I do internet work and would like to be able to continue that, as well, if it's possible. JUST beginning to learn Spanish (speak German and English!).

I had thought I'd drive there, but what you said about bringing a car has me wondering about those rules? What's the best resource for that type of information--visas, requirements for entry, what I can bring, requirements regarding the kids, etc. Of course, I have many questions about cost of living, renting a home, school for the kids, etc., so any references would be great!

Also, any other online resources that people recommend? I find a lot of commercial sites, but not many like this that just provide information. Thanks so much for your time and advice!
