Satellite tv and jobs

Hi there, I´m from the UK and would like to know if it´s possible to get UK satellite tv channels here eg Setanta Sports, Sky Sports etc. Could I buy a set top box in the UK and bring it over here and have it work? Which satellite or cable companies here would allow me to add Setanta?

Also, I´m currently looking for a job here. I speak 80% or so Spanish and fluent English (obviously.) I am a graduate in Electronic and Electrical Engineering, from 2000, but have no experience in this field since, although I have had several other jobs since 2000. I am registered with the American Chamber of Commerce and am browsing job websites. Any other ideas?
