Moving to & living in Los Cabos

Are there expat communities in Los Cabos?

How do we go about finding monthly rentals (we are looking for 2 bed/2 bath) in the area without getting ripped off?

The best way to travel with our dog (once we find monthly rentals) by car (a five day trip for us) or by plane?

If we travel by plane and stay for our initial 3-4 months stay, we would need a car. Is there a cheap car rental we can use on a monthly rate?
