Durango, Durango, Mexico

Hello. Is anyone familiar with living in Durango, the state capitol of Durango, Mexico? I have read about it and would like to visit around November to check out if I would like to live there. I haven’t seen any posts about it in the Mexico Forum but I am new to it. I will probably move to Mazatlan, but Durango keeps me curious. I know they are quite different from each other but I like either climate. I am a 66 year old single woman. Any input would be welcome.
