Chefchaouen - Starting a restaurant?

Dear all

I have traveled to Morocco twice and I simply love the country - now I am thinking about making a move. I was born in Denmark, but have lived in the US, Netherlands, Norway, Italy and India so moving to a 'different' country is no problem - cultural differences are most welcomed.

My girlfriend and I have been talking about investing in a place in Chefchaouen or Essaouira, and to open up a small restaurant.

I would love to hear from business owners (restaurant owners would of course help a lot).

1) Any rules regarding operations in ones own house? Say, we buy 150 m2, can we 'easily' use half that space for the restaurant?

2) What should I keep in mind when opening a business in Morocco?

Thanks guys,

Chris / Athlete
