Accessing European Benefits

We are in the UK. My husband has been accepted onto the Irish Births Register, and will access an Irish Passport in the next few months. We have a house to sell, which will help us survive until my husband's state pension kicks in. Meanwhile, he has a small private pension. I claim both parts of PIP, and am in the ESA Support Group. My question is what benefits might we be entitled to please if we move to either Italy, Portugal or Spain using his Irish passport, as he obviously hasn't paid anything into the Irish system? Thank you.
