L1/L2 Visa

Hi all,

I'm Brazilian and I'm moving to San Francisco in 1 week under a L1 Visa. I've a stable relationship with my girlfriend of almost 4 years and she'll join me in the U.S but only in the end of the year (she will continue working in Brazil for the next months). Here is my question, "common law marriage" is not accepted in the USA, so we need to be legally married and then apply for her VISA (L2). Considering this situation, what's the best alternative:

1 - Get married in the USA when she comes to visit me on vacation (August). Theoretically she will only visit me, and will return to Brazil to continue working.
2 - I go back and get married in Brazil.

Sorry for the long question.

Thank you!

Renato
