The United States has shown significant human rights violations in the face of COVID-19. The grossly disproportionate impact of COVID-19 on black, brown, and Native Americans, as well as the link between persistent disparities in health, education, and economic status, reveal the ingrained nature of racial discrimination in the United States. Thousands of people of Asian ancestry have been targeted and racially profiled in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak, which may have had something to do with former President Donald Trump's repeated use of racial slurs to refer to the disease.
