Not sure is this message is appropriate but here goes…
The last few days there is a lot of talk about Alberta becoming part of the United States! And so here are my thoughts on that for my family.
First, I will start by saying I am a Canadian citizen and I currently reside in Nova Scotia.
I'm exploring the possibility of moving to Alberta, Canada, with the idea / possibility that it might help me get closer to becoming a US citizen in the future. The political situation in this country (Canada) is making it difficult to thrive, especially with how the current administration “Government” is breaking, I mean running things. Before I make any final decisions, I’d appreciate hearing from anyone who’s gone through somewhat “though unlikely” a similar process or has any insights on relocating to Alberta and what it might take to eventually secure US citizenship.
Plans to spend a lot of time in other countries has been talked about for a while now, but the new talks about Alberta separating has peaked our interest. Note: we are retired, and very tired of living with the hand we are being dealt. We have no voice, and we are not thriving, we are barely surviving….
If this topic offends you, please disregard and move on to other topics,
PS: For my family, sadly, enough is enough, my property IS being posted for sale early next week, it’s gotten serious.
Looking forward to any thoughts or advice from the community!
Looking for constructive feedback please…
Respectfully , thank you ??
