What type of Visa would I need?

If I move to Scotland, it will simply be to retire and enjoy my time there. I can't seem to find the right visa that applies to my situation. I will not have to work or be a student. I will not be moving there to be with or take care of family. I simply just want to go, rent a home and live life on my terms without worrying about having to go back to the US every 90-180 days. Any advice on the way to go with this? Thank you!
