I am exploring the possibility of relocating to New Zealand in about 5 yrs to work in the biotech industry. I am currently in San Francisco and am looking to make a change for quality of life and affordability.
I would like to get more information about the state of the biotech industry, what skill sets are most needed, and where the biotech industry is located within New Zealand.
I am nervous about some of the bias I've read about on this forum, so would also like to hear about how scientists in the biotech industry feel about the current emphasis on immigration.
I would also love to get some information on the cost of living relative to salary compared with SF. If anyone has made the move from the Bay Area to New Zealand, I'd love to hear your experience.
