Napier/Hawkes Bay

Hi ,my family and I are moving to NZ at the end of the year and all though we have visited North island before we haven`t been to Napier/Hawkes Bay but feel it is possibly the right place for us.Can anyone tell me of anything I should know? I am a builder and my wife is a qualified in early years child care.We have 2 children.Is Hawkeas Bay the place for us?
